John got a new car. Actually, it's a heck-of-a-lot more than just a car. It's a beast! A Toyota FJ Cruiser. He's been shopping for one since last winter but hasn't found just the right one--they are only sold "used" now that Toyota stopped making them--until now.
So why the Beast? John's job is 45 minutes away from our house. When he factored in the 45 annual inches of snowfall we receive, and remembered the frightening moments from last winter when he was driving his convertible, on the freeway, in snowstorms, he figured it was time to move beyond his Honda S2000.
My joke about this beast? John just took his teeny-tiny convertible, added a little water and watched it grow :-) Don't I wish! No, he still has the convertible for sunny days, and this monstrosity for the snowy ones. The question is which one will he take in the rain?
Love it! John must really like that color and it would be easy to spot in a parking lot unlike my white van! :)
