This past Sunday, one of the counselors in our Primary Presidency gave a great sharing time about letting our light shine. Without going into all the specifics (plastic, electric, magnetic lights on the board, for example), she had gathered stories from parents about their children and times that they had let their light shine. It was really beautiful to hear some of the very specific (and amazing!) stories about the kids. Thankfully, Glo had been chosen, and I wanted to share what was read about her:
Gloria Kennedy is a SHINING example of honestly, In the Kennedy household, all of their daily chores (practicing, exercising and scripture reading) must be completed before they watch TV. Gloria is consistent at completing these tasks before watching any TV. She is a great example to her brothers and sister. And when she hasn't been able to finish EVERYTHING before they watch TV as a family together, she will tell her mom she hasn't completed her responsibilities and ask if it is okay to watch TV. Sister Kennedy describes Gloria's moral compass as always pointing north.
Thanks for being an example to all of us, Glo!
Gloria, you're amazing. We're so proud of you!
