This past weekend, Mark attended his school's adjudication trip to Toronto, Ontario. From what we hear, he had a great time. And thus ends another year of musical competition for my kids.Just to review (and brag a bit):
Gloria was chosen for all ensembles at her school: Orff, choir and orchestra, and sat first chair violin.
Johannah made it to both Tri-County Orchestra and Center County Choir. She sat first chair viola in the orchestra. Too, she had a lead in the musical. Woot!
Mark made it through Districts and Regionals to States in both band and choir. He sat first chair horn all the way through and came close to sitting first chair tenor (he was robbed, in my opinion). He also made it for the second year into Chamber Singers.
Then, at adjudication, both the choir and band took first place.
Of course, Mark is where Mark is, but if you look to the far left of the picture, his girlfriend, Tomoko, is playing the flute. So cute!Now come all the concerts. One last night, one tonight, one tomorrow, and only five or six more to go this month. Three cheers for the Kennedy Kids!
Man we're all so awesome. We can accomplish so much. Yay!!!!

ReplyDeleteAdjudication was awesome. We were in Toronto and the first day, spent it going all over the city. Most of my time was spent going to the Cn tower, which was awesome, and we were 133 floors up. There was even a glass floor(: THen we were going to baseballl games for the Jets, geting adjudicated, going to MEDIEVAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL TIMES!!!!!!!!!! The yellow knight unfortunately didn't win the entire thing, but he came close(: We were by far the most supportive crowd. We also earned the most awards of all, taking most of the 1st places, which we quite proud of(:
Mark, that's so cool. It definitely sounds like you had an amazing experience. Keep practicing.. all your hard work will pay off!
