A Phone Call!

Tonight, at 10:30 p.m., the phone rang, and our caller ID just said BYU. Thank goodness John didn't ignore it like usual, thinking it was a fund-raising call (afterall, 10:30 would be rather late for fund-raising!). Turns out it was Ethan. I could hardly believe it.

John put him on speaker phone almost immediately but nobody could really get a word in. We were all asking questions and trying to tell him everything, while he was just trying to tell us that he only had a few minutes.

Turns out, he was given permission to call because his travel plans have changed. He's now leaving for Poland on Saturday with an arrival in Warsaw on Sunday afternoon. He'll be flying through Chicago to London to Warsaw. He's still planning on calling, just on Saturday now.

At the end of the conversation, he finally got us all to be quiet and he asked if he could bear his testimony to us in Polish. Despite not understanding all but five words, the Spirit was still so strong, and several of us were reduced to tears. I could hardly believe that it was my boy on the other end of the line, my boy who could only say "The car is blue" in Polish just seven weeks ago. What a testament to faith and hard work and help from a loving Heavenly Father
